Accountant II - Revenue Recognition

Hourly Rate: $17-$22/hr DOE
Location: San Luis Obispo


Regional hotel company is looking for an Accountant II to join their team!

This is a full-time position, M-F 8am-5pm.

Perform all daily & month end aspects of revenue recognition & the AR function including POS & credit card reconciliation, & preparation of all related daily & monthly journal entries.

Other duties include:

  • Maintain detailed/accurate fixed asset ledgers, including substantial projects in progress
  • Provide accounting & financial support to the hotel General Managers & other internal customers
  • Prepare & analyze various, periodic operating reports
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Review & assure night audit packages adhere to policies
  • Prepare & maintain various balance sheet analysis and reconciliations, including deferred revenues, prepaid expenses, inventories, fixed assets & projects in progress
  • Perform all month end closing procedures as specified by the controller, & within the short closing period
  • Maintain clean, organized & accurate electronic filing system
  • Design & maintain general ledger & other reports for automatic distribution


  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent 5+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of SAGE 100/MAS 90 is a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
  • Highest degree of accuracy & attention to detail
  • Capable of prioritizing, organizing & multi-tasking
  • Ability to work well under pressure & meet deadlines
  • Display professionalism while setting high standards
  • Hold strict confidentiality
