Payroll/Accounting/Tax (temp to hire)

Hourly Rate: $15-$20 DOE
Location: San Luis Obispo

Description

Accounting, Tax and Payroll office has an opening for a FT professional with payroll and Accounting experience.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a tax, accounting, or law office, will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have worked in a paperless environment.

Duties:

  • Timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Tax filing, reconciliation of payroll, tax liabilities and tax payments
  • Prepare worker's comp reports, certified payroll, 401K census reports, calculating garnishments, and other third party reports and payments
  • Communicate to clients various aspect and requirements of CA and federal labor laws
  • Technical support of payroll software

 

This is a full-time position Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm (frequent overtime during tax season)

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience processing payroll
  • Experience with certified payroll a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of CA and Federal laws and regulations
  • Strong logic and math skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize
